Mom: How was school today?  Anything new?

Brady: There's a girl in my class named Kayla and she told me she likes me.

Mom: Wow, that's exciting!  What did you say when she told you that?

Brady: I told her that was nice of her to say, but I'm taken.

Mom: Well, I guess it's nice to know that your options are open.

Brady: Mom, live in the now.

The Cat's Meow!

*driving home after meeting a friend's new wee puppy*

Mom: Oh, Jorja is so cute!

Brady: Mom, do you like dogs or cats better?

Mom: Cats. I'm a cat person for sure.

Brady: Why?

Mom: Um, cats are just easier to take care of. What do you like better?

Brady: Obviously, cats.

Mom: Why?

Brady: Well, scientists were surveyed and it's been proven that from an evolutionary perspective cats are smarter than dogs, they don't need to be taken care of & they're able to survive longer than dogs too.

Mom: Um, oh. *puzzled look*

Brady: What?

Mom: I thought you were gonna say you like cats better 'cause they're snuggly.

Brady: Okay. Yeah, that too.

Gym Class Dropout

Brady: Can I have a note to miss gym today?

Mom: Why?

Brady: Because I don't want to do gym?

Mom: You love gym though.

Brady: Not right now. We are doing dancing. I hate it, but Miss Kruezer said if we don't participate then we can't do the stuff we like.

Mom: That's a good idea.

Brady: I told her I like math.

Mom: Good try buddy; someday you'll be happy you took dance.

Brady: No I won't.

Mom: Yes you will, when you go to a school dance. Plus, girls love a man that can dance!

Brady: I won't be going.

Mom: Someday you might wanna go.

Brady: I doubt it and if I do go to a school dance, it'll be for the food.

Mom: *LOL*
